2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the Melplash Agricultural Society’s education programme – Discover Farming
The Melplash Agricultural Society is celebrating making a positive contribution to young people through our educational programme – Discover Farming.
A core objective of the Society is to educate and promote agriculture through community involvement. The annual Melplash Agricultural Show, the flagship event, plays a significant role by bringing farming, business and the community together to celebrate the best of farming and agriculture by the sea. It is the platform for the public of all ages to learn more about food, farming and the countryside and to demonstrate the importance agriculture has in all our lives. In addition to exhibiting the achievements of local farmers, the Show generates vital funds to support agricultural education in Dorset.
