- Up to 8 years
- Up to 11 years
- Up to 14 years

COMPETITION PRIZES
A cash prize will be given to the winner and runner up in each category: Winner £100; Runner up £50

Here’s how to enter:
- Produce a digital copy of your work
- Make sure you name, age and a contact email/address is clearly marked and the top of your work.

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES – MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2025
The competition will be judged by a panel of judges with relevant experience. They will be looking for:
- A piece of writing that shows your original thoughts and ideas
- Has many of the age-appropriate features of non-fiction writing (which can be found in many places online for example: National Curriculum and BBC Bitesize)
The winners and runners up will be notified by the end of December. Prizes will be awarded early in the New Year at the Discover Farming Classroom at Washingpool Farm, DT6 5HP. The winning entries in each category will be published here on the Discover Farming website and shared with members of the Society.
