The charity, Linking Environment And Farming (LEAF), has been working with Sainsbury’s on the Sainsbury’s Global Farm Project, which seeks to give a voice to farmers and food producers from across the globe. As a result of this work they will be represented at the forthcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – 12 November 2021.
The project has culminated in the development of a number of classroom based resources for schools to use – separated in to Primary and Secondary with clear National Curriculum links across a variety of subjects.

Climate change – what can we do to help?
This ‘climate change booklet’ produced by LEAF is designed to help highlight to the public what farmers are doing to work towards net zero, the booklet also highlights small changes that the consumer can make to help in a small way too.
Climate change: working together for a safe and healthy world
This booklet brings together a variety of resources produced by LEAF Education that will help teachers introduce different aspects of climate change into their teaching. Students will be encouraged to explore related topics, to discuss them and to form their own views about how we can work together to address the mounting challenges. Most of the resources are suitable for Key Stage 3 students and above but teachers will be able to adapt them to suit their own pupils.
