School visits to Coombe Farm, Crewkerne, a working dairy farm.

Coombe Farm have been running school visits for schools local to them for some time and have kindly agreed to open-up their facilities to Discover Farming and our local schools. This is a new collaboration with the Melplash Agricultural Society and A.H. Warren Trust to promote the importance of food, farming and careers in agriculture. The visits will be to Hill Dairy, part of the Trust.
Visiting children are given the opportunity to reconnect with food and the countryside through several activities including: Orienteering, Wildlife Talks, Smoothie Making, a Farm Tour, Nature Walks and Solar Workshops.
