The Discover Farming and Explore Farming marquees at the Melplash Show on Thursday 22nd August will be bigger than ever this year. All activities are free. In the Discover Farming marquee younger children will be able to make apple juice, pancakes, smoothies, cheese and butter, make giant animal puzzles to learn about cuts of meat, read sheep ear tags and even calve a cow! In the explore farming marquee older youngsters will have lots of high tech activities to try: put on a Virtual Reality (VR) headset and be on a tractor, combine harvester or in a milking parlour; drive a tractor simulator, build a steel framed barn or look down a microscope at creatures that devastate crops or harm animals.
Don’t forget youngsters 16 years and under can attend the Show for free too!
