The Corn Dryer Syndicate has been in operation for over 60 years. In 2000 they built a new state-of-the-art dryer behind Francis Bugler Ltd on the Broadwindsor Road leaving Beaminster.
RB Bowditch & Son manage the Cooper Dean Estate’s dairy at Knowle Farm. There are 300 milking cows and they rear their own replacement heifers. Milk is supplied to Tesco
Headline activities:
- Guided tour of the Corn Dryer including a grains display with ultimate food products
- Lots of Agricultural Machines to investigate
- ‘Discover Farming’ where children get hands-on experience of different farming activities.
- Everything is interactive to help create an understanding how farming ‘works’ and food is produced
- Interactive displays from Dorset organisations and groups such as Wessex Water, Synergy Vets and the Dorset Butterfly Group
- Tractor and trailer ride around a 1.5 mile circuit with key stopping points
- Arable farming – wheat and grass growing and special emphasis on soil health
- Working dairy farm to see how cows live and are tended
- Livestock area with sheep, pigs, chickens and goats
- Rural skills area to include Beekeeping,
- Making farming environmentally sustainable

- Toilets at key points with an accessible one at the car park
- Plenty of car parking space
- Local food producers will provide refreshments
- The activities will be under cover
- At least 6 tractors and trailers
